I still feel like I have much work to do on this earth even though this world can be awfully cruel place to live sometimes.
“I believe that life is a journey towards God, and that
no one has the right to insist that you go a certain road.” – Pat Buckley
This week I wrote a lot about
vulnerability. However, I don’t want you to think that I am on some higher
spiritual or emotional plane. I am a broken and
flawed man. As noted Franciscan Priest Richard Rohr pointed out, there
are eight year-old children with cancer who have more self-awareness than many adults.
I heard from many of you this week,
whether through emails, comments on the blog, or personal phone calls. From my heart, I want you to know that your
words of kindness have been life-affirming and an inspiration to me.
I still feel like I have much work
to do on this earth even though this world can be awfully cruel place to live sometimes.
We might not be in the same “place”
but we owe it to the universe to do the best we can with what we have, grow, serve, and most of
all love one another.
