We live our lives in the red zone. Americans work an average of 46 hours a week. Although I do not like to use this word, we are some extremely "busy" people. We get up at the crack of dawn and we work until well after sundown. And I am not just talking about our 9-to-5 (which don't exist anymore) jobs. If you factor in kids, extracurricular activities, work, and those of you going back to school, life can probably seem out of control at times. This is precisely why it is important to make time for the people in your life (employees, co-workers, loved ones, etc.) Even if it's only for 60 seconds to five minutes, pick up the phone, send an email, or text those people in your life to let them know that you are still around. Remember that relationships die of neglect more than anything else.
