Pride Goeth Before Fall

In the book, Good to Great, author Jim Collins says that a Level 5 Leader, the highest level of leadership, exhibits the characteristic of humility. However, I have heard some managers question humility as a leadership trait. But I agree with Collins. Why? Because a major downfall of any successful person, let alone that of one with formal leadership authority is pride or arrogance. It's that sense of entitlement that they feel comes with the job.

Strive for what you want. But be grateful for what you have. History is filled with people who have achieved today but failed tomorrow.
