Do Your Employees Like You?
According to a 2010 Spherion Staffing Services Snapshop survey, “…found that more than one-third of workers (34 percent) say they are somewhat or very dissatisfied with their relationship with their boss.”
“I didn’t know whether my employees liked me for me or not. Did they like because I tried to be a genuinely nice and kind human being? Or did they like me because I had CEO stamped across my chest,” says Bill Turner, Founding Member, Pastoral Institute.
Just because you are the leader doesn’t mean your employees like you. When you tell a joke and they laugh, they might be doing so out of fear.
