My Gratitude Journal

I have always kept a journal. However, recently, I decided to turn my journal into a gratitude journal.

I try to list at least 3-5 things per entry. If I go over that number, that's only a plus. I got the idea from a good friend of mine.

For instance, on Friday, I wrote that Mrs. Sharron Marcus, Principal, Sumter County Elementary School, Americus, Georgia, said that I always made a difference in the lives of her and her staff whenever I presented to them.

One teacher said something so nice to me and in front of everyone that I began to tear up (but I don’t think they could tell).

Last Wednesday evening I thought that I had had a very bad day.
However, when I began to list the things that I was grateful for on that day, I realized that it wasn’t so bad after all. I began to feel better.

What about you? Do you keep a journal? Better yet—have you ever kept a gratitude journal?

If so, I would love to hear from you.

  1. Hi Kelvin~
I told you at the SCES presentation that I read your blog, and I thought that I would comment just to prove that I really do.

I have kept a journal off and on through the years. I've decided to start a gratitude journal though. I enjoyed your presentation for our leadership team, as I always do. You have a gift. :) Thanks for sharing it.

  2. Andrea, thank you so much for the kind words. They really mean a lot. You have NO idea how much. All my best!
