Living in the Present Might Be More Challenging on Weekends

As I posted yesterday, I spent last week trying my best to live my life in the present.

I have found that it is easier for me to live in the present during the week because I have so many activities going on in my life.

At work there are projects, workshops, administrative duties, while at home there are PTA meetings, band concerts, house chores, etc.

However, I noticed yesterday that the weekend, at least Saturday, might prove to be more challenging.

Although I do work a little on the weekends, I try not to overdo it because I like to do other things such as reading, watching a movie here or there and of course attending a game or two.

My schedule on weekends is not action packed. Therefore, I am forced to self-talk (something introverts are known to do)—“Kelvin, live in the present.”

I am a work in progress, so the most important thing for me is to be aware when I am not living in the present.
