Playing Nice in LaGrange, Georgia

I am blogging now because within the hour I am taking the 50 minute drive north to LaGrange, Georgia.

This evening I will be presenting a one-hour lecture on Playing Nice in the Sandbox at the First Presbyterian Church.

Since time is a factor, I will try to get in as much of the following as I can.

o Characteristics of an unhealthy and healthy organization
o Why people leave companies
o The Spillover Effect
o The Reality of Erosion and how relationships are much more likely to die of neglect than disaster.
o The Four Communication Danger Signs. One of my favorites is how we make assumptions about people; and you know very well what happens when we make assumptions.
o The Amygdala Hijack. The amygdala is the part of the brain that regulates our emotions. Have you ever said something and 18 minutes later you regretted saying it?

Playing Nice is the ultimate communications workshop. So far, this year, we have already presented it to the staffs of Ridgecrest and Meadowlane Elementary Schools.
