You Deserve Exceptional Customer Service

According to consultant Derek Stockley, “Exceptional customer service involves exceeding customer expectations, where the standards and level of service received exceed what the customer could reasonably define as normal or expected.” He also says, “Exceptional customer service prompts customers to share their experiences with others.”

John, a friend of mine, recently told the story of his experience at a fast food restaurant. He went to the counter, ordered his food, and found a place to sit and eat. Five minutes later, John was shocked when one of the workers asked him if he wanted a refill for his soda. He never knew of a fast food restaurant that did such a thing.

“I work hard for my money” (as the old song goes), and I’m sure you do, too. I expect exceptional service no matter what store I visit. During this holiday season, I implore you to spend your money at stores that exhibit exceptional customer service and are worthy of your business.
